Duplicate tickets

If two or more identical tickets from the same requester happen to exist on the system, you can merge these tickets into one of the duplicate tickets by using the Merge Tickets command. The information from the duplicate tickets (logs, links to other tickets and objects, followers) is transferred into a single successor, and the other duplicate tickets are permanently removed.

Caution:
Merging tickets is an irreversible operation.

When merging tickets, do the following:

  1. On the Tickets page, select the tickets you want to merge and use the Merge Tickets command.
  2. In the merge tickets form, review the information you entered and edit it if necessary.
  3. Confirm the form content with the OK button.
