Edit Numeric Series

Description

Use this series

Check this checkbox if you want to use this numeric series for automatic numbering of invoices, handover protocols etc. If you leave this checkbox blank, you will be able to enter numbers manually. For numeric series defined for properties, this option specifies whether or not this series is used (property values generated automatically).

Series name

Enter the numeric series name. This value can be only entered for numeric series used for properties.

Prefix

Enter a text prefix that will be displayed before the number generated automatically.

Next number

Enter a number which will be used as a beginning for automatic numbering of the series. The number in the field will be taken into consideration in the given format (including nulls at the beginning); you can generate e.g. the following numbers: "IC0001ALVAO", "IC0002ALVAO" ... If the numeric value overflows, the length of the value increases by one character. This will corrupt the original formating: e.g. "IC999ALVAO" will be followed by "IC1000ALVAO".

Suffix

Enter a text suffix that will be displayed behind the number generated automatically.

Use this series to generate property values:

Select the type of property which will receive values generated automatically by this series.

For object kinds:

Enter one or more object kinds in the list. The series will then generate values of the selected property only for the selected object kinds. If you leave the list blank, the value of the selected property will be generated for all object kinds.

If you need to add a value to the list, select an object kind in the list on the right and click on the "<<Add" button. If the selected object kind does not yet exist in the list, it will be added to it. Adding the <all> item will remove all object kinds from the list (blank list = all object kinds). If you need to remove an item from the list, click on the "Remove" button.

For computer kinds

This list can be only edited, if the object kind "Computer" is selected in the list of object kinds. You can enter one or more computer kinds in the list (values from the code list in the property "Computer kind"). The series will then generate values of the selected property only for these computer kinds. If you leave the list blank, the value will be generated for all computer kinds.

If you need to add a value to the list, select a computer kind in the list on the right and click on the "<<Add" button. If the selected computer kind does not yet exist in the list, it will be added to it. Adding the <all> item will remove all computer kinds from the list (blank list = all computer kinds). If you need to remove a computer kind from the list, click on the "Remove" button.
